Golden China Chinese Restaurant: Your Go-To Spot for Authentic Chinese Takeout

An absolute hidden gem!!!!!! I have found my new favorite spot! We ordered 2 lunch specials.ordering was very easy. Once at the restaurant staff was extremely friendly. Food was amazing! I cannot wait to try more from the menu!

I’m from up north in the state, and happened to be down in Clinton pursuing some good sunset beach photos for my photography class. Was going to go to dominos but saw this cute little place in the same plaza and changed my mind. Very cozy and nostalgic atmosphere, great service and super good prices. Their fried rice was the opposite of bland. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for good comfort food. Thanks guys!!!

This place has very tasty food, generous portions, and fairly reasonable prices despite increases that every place has done We have been getting take-out from them since 1999. The food is very good and the staff is friendly. They remember my name and will gladly make a substitution of a vegetable in our dishes. Also, for the diet conscious they will steam the combination plates instead of stir frying in oil. My wife gets the shrimp and lobster sauce combination platter and it is delicious with large tender shrimp. The rest of us have also gotten excellent General Tso's chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Roast pork in garlic sauce, Egg Foo Yong, Szechuan shrimp and boneless BBQ ribs. She recently told me that they make their own egg rolls and they are always delicious, fairly large and generally not oily. Yum. We hope you try this local business and enjoy it as much as we do. Golden china is definitely one of the better takeout options around this area. Great chinese food. Stuffed trays too!

Yesterday, September 4th my wife and I decided to try this restaurant out. We ordered the Chicken and Broccoli a quart, a quart of Egg Drop Soup. We called the restaurant and had the food delivered to our home. The young lady said 35 to 40 minutes and before we new the driver was at our home. Everything was very hot and delicious and the delivery gentlemen was kind and very polite. Nothing but 5 Stars for this restaurant and delivery service. I have a long history of not liking Chinese food. Honestly, I don't understand the fuss. So when my wife suggested we order from this place, especially since they had free delivery for orders over $10, I figured I'd give it a chance. I'm glad I agreed with her. I ordered the General Tso's Combo Platter (see accompanying photo).The general must have enjoyed large meals because the portion I received was enough for dinner and then for lunch the next day. My only complaint was the delivery time. It took nearly an hour to receive it. And when my wife went out to meet the delivery guy for the food-he had a cool mask with a big smile on it -he took a while to leave while he asked her about the history of our old farm house. I get it. People ask all the time about that. We just wanted to eat and have our food not get cold. Which leads me to the next positive. Despite the wait and conversation, the food was piping hot as if it just came out of the oven. Overall, as a not-so-often eater of Chinese food, I recommend this place to fill your belly in the evening and the next afternoon.

I had the General Tso's combo & chicken lo mein, so good. Even after the 15min drive home the food was stil HOT hot. Staff was very nice!! Will be back when I'm craving comfort food again!
